Saving Instagram Reels to Your iPhone Camera Roll

If you're an iPhone user, you might have noticed that Instagram doesn't let you save Reels directly to your Camera Roll (Photos app). The Deadloops downloader solves this natively using Safari on iOS 13 and newer.

Step-by-Step Instructions for iOS

  1. Open Instagram: Find the Reel you want to download. Tap the paper airplane (Share) icon, then tap Copy Link.
  2. Open Safari: Return to this page in your Safari browser and paste the link into the box above. Tap Download.
  3. Start the Download: After the preview loads, tap Continue to download, wait for the secure countdown, and tap Download now. Safari will show a popup asking, "Do you want to download...?". Tap Download.
  4. Save to Camera Roll: Look at the address bar in Safari. You will see a small blue arrow pointing down (Downloads icon). Tap it, select the downloaded MP4 file, tap the iOS Share button (square with an up arrow) in the bottom left, and tap Save Video.

The Reel is now permanently saved in your iPhone's Photos app!
